VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — One woman was taken to the hospital following an accidental grease cooking fire early Wednesday morning on 33rd Street, according to the Virginia Beach Fire Department.
Units with VBFD and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the 300 block of 33rd Street in reference to a report of a commercial multi-family structure fire at approximately 3:25 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews observed heavy smoke coming from a two-story apartment. Crews quickly had water on the fire around 3:40 a.m.
Fire officials say one woman was rescued and taken to a local hospital. There were no other injuries reported to civilians, firefighters, or pets…
