PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Old Dominion University is honoring the courage and bravery of its local Army ROTC cadets on campus. During the month of March, a gunman opened fire inside an ROTC classroom, killing an instructor and injuring others.
Several heroic cadets rushed in and worked together to wrestle the gunman to the ground, stopping the attack. Their actions—brave, decisive, and selfless—are credited with saving lives.
Today, in a private ceremony, we honor their bravery, their sacrifice, and their future service…
