Hampton man charged with robbery after Facebook Marketplace sale turns violent

YORK COUNTY, Va. — A Hampton man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery tied to a Facebook Marketplace sale in April, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 12:25 p.m. on April 25 to the 100 block of Kenmar Drive for a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.

Investigators said the victims had listed a PlayStation 5 for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
