PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Contractor crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will temporarily close six Park and Ride lots across Hampton Roads for paving operations. These short-term closures are scheduled to begin as early as May 14 and continue through June.
The affected lots are located in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Portsmouth, James City County and Isle of Wight County.
The closures are part of scheduled work to install new asphalt overlays and pavement markings at each of the facilities. Each lot is expected to remain closed for several days once work begins, with all projects subject to weather and scheduling conditions…
