PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Deflated balloons and memories are all that’s left of the lives of a young couple, 25-year old Dasani Wright and 23 year old Jazmyne Johnson, as the parents of a one year old boy died in their home of gunshot wounds to the upper body during the early morning hours of May 9. The child was unharmed.
Late Tuesday afternoon the medical examiner’s office released the cause and manner of death for each victim of gun violence — Wright’s cause of death is a gunshot wound of the head, and he died by suicide. Jazmyne Johnson’s cause of death is a gunshot wound of the head, with the manner of death being by homicide.
Just last month, former Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself.
