NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. — A crash on the Northampton County side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel on Wednesday shut down traffic on the southbound side for about an hour.
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District, which maintains the bridge, said the crash involved a single vehicle, but that the vehicle belonged to their own police division. It occurred near the One Mile Post on the southbound side, near Virginia Beach.
