DeVonte White, 32, was arrested Monday on multiple charges related to an alleged domestic battery in Lafayette.
Officers were alerted via a 911 call around 4 a.m. on Monday, where a child said a male (later identified as White) was allegedly beating a female in a residence in Lafayette. When they responded to the scene, officers reportedly heard White yelling at the female from inside the residence, according to a probable cause affidavit.
When police arrived at the residence, White reportedly attempted to leave through a rear entrance to the building, but was stopped by other officers. One of the deputies reportedly noticed holes in the wall and a mess in the home…
