A man was stabbed in the neck while walking near Grant Park in Chicago Thursday night, police said, with officials working to investigate after the suspect fled the scene.
About 11:37 p.m., a 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were walking in the 500 block of South Columbus Drive in the Loop when an unknown man approached them and a verbal altercation took place.
The altercation turned physical, police said, with the man pulling out a sharp object and stabbing the 23-year-old in the left side of his neck.
