Scooter rider fatally hit by Jeep on Chicago’s South Side

CHICAGO (WGN) — Chicago police are investigating after a scooter rider was fatally struck by a vehicle on the city’s South Side Friday afternoon.

The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of South King Drive.

According to police, the female, whose age has not been released, was traveling southbound on a scooter when she was hit by a Jeep driven by a 36-year-old woman.
