An individual who allegedly participated in an armed robbery with an armed suspect accused of gunning down a Chicago police officer has been arrested.
Sources told NBC Chicago the individual, who is believed to have assisted Alphanso Talley with an armed robbery at a dollar store on Saturday morning, was taken into custody shortly after prosecutors released court documents detailing how the crimes unfolded.
Police sources have identified the second individual as an 18-year-old Chicago resident, with a Chicago police spokesperson confirming a person-of-interest was in custody.
