City of Covington enters purchase agreement for 257 Pike Street, seeks community input on development

The City of Covington has entered into a purchase agreement with Covington Independent Public Schools to acquire the 0.77-acre property at 257 Pike Street, currently owned by the school district.

The acquisition marks an important step in advancing a collaborative development opportunity involving the City of Covington, Covington Independent Public Schools, the Center for Great Neighborhoods, Covington Farmers Market, the Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority, and other community partners.

As planning for the project moves forward, community members are invited to share their ideas and feedback during a public open house rescheduled for July 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. The location of the open house will be announced closer to the event date…
