CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A man who was shot by Cincinnati police after charging at officers with a knife was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison.
Patrick Lyons, 32, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest with a deadly weapon and inducing panic in connection with the March 2025 incident. A felonious assault charge was dismissed as part of the case.
According to police, Lyons called 911 on himself and lured officers to an apartment building on Gilbert Avenue near Martin Luther King Drive.
Court documents filed by his attorney stated Lyons was attempting to commit “suicide by cop.”…
