Catching A Fish Is just Part Of The Fun At Armco Park’s Annual Cops & Bobbers

WARREN COUNTY, OH — Warren County Park District’s Armco Park was filled with kids of all ages Saturday, as families came out to the annual Cops and Bobbers hosted by Friends of the Warren County Park Disrict.

Along with FREE fishing, children from ages 0 to 16 enjoyed some friendly fishing competition, while meeting local park rangers, Warren County Sheriffs, Turtlecreek Township First Responders, and many other organizations that help make Warren County Parks safe and special.

Matt Latham, Executive Director of the Warren County Park District, expressed his thanks to all the volunteers and park employees for making the day and event so successful.

“We don’t have the exact number yet, but probably close to 400 people attend Cops and Boppers this year,” Latham said.

The Warren County Ohio Beekeepers club and Warren County 4-H club also had stations set up for families to visit.

While many stopped to see the bees on the honeycomb, others stopped to feed or just get an upclose and personal look at the alpacas on their way to grab their FREE lunch.

To wrap up the fun morning, guest were invited to a free lunch at the Jones Pavilion as they waited to hear who won the fishing derby and get a door prize.
