Firefighters respond to water rescues after flooding leaves several trapped

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Several fire trucks responded to Madison Road and Steele Place after cars got trapped in high water after a heavy downpour in Cincinnati Friday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m., people lined the sidewalk, keeping their eyes on the same spot — two cars drove into the floodwater and got stuck.

Rescue crews didn’t waste a second. They waded in, checked on the drivers and worked to get those cars out while divers and drones searched the water…
