CINCINNATI — For actors and filmmakers, it’s an Oscar. For musicians, it’s a Grammy. And for restaurants, few honors carry the international prestige of a Michelin star.
For the first time, restaurants in Cincinnati and Cleveland have the chance to earn recognition from the Michelin Guide as part of its new American Great Lakes edition.
Cincinnati joins Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Pittsburgh in the regional guide. Michelin says its anonymous inspectors are already in the field, making reservations and evaluating restaurants. The first American Great Lakes selections are expected to be announced in 2027…
