Christopher J. Lauer II, a Campbell County Police Department captain, has been appointed assistant commander of the Northern Kentucky SWAT team.
The Northern Kentucky SWAT Executive Board announced Lauer’s appointment during a special meeting, along with the appointment of Independence Police Captain Michael D. Brock as commander of the regional team.
“Captain Chris Lauer’s dedication, experience, and proven leadership with the Northern Kentucky SWAT Team made selecting him as Assistant SWAT Commander an easy decision,” said Campbell County Sheriff and NKY SWAT Chief Executive Officer Mike Jansen. “His professionalism, commitment to his fellow officers, and years of service to the SWAT Team made him, without question, the right person for this important leadership role.”…
