CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A few spotty storms are possible today as temperatures climb once again. A portion of the Tri-State is under a Marginal Risk for severe storms. The overall threat is low, but a stronger storm could produce damaging wind along with frequent lightning and heavy rain. Most locations will still spend much of the day dry.
Thursday brings another hot and humid day with only a few storms possible. Better storm chances arrive Friday, which is a First Alert Weather Day. Scattered thunderstorms are expected, with the main window currently focused on the late morning and early afternoon. Lightning, heavy rain and gusty wind could affect outdoor plans before storm coverage decreases later in the evening.
The heat is not going anywhere until next week. Temperatures continue to run hot through the weekend, including Saturday when only a slim storm chance is expected. That should leave plenty of dry time for Oktoberfest Zinzinnati and other weekend plans, but another more active stretch begins Sunday…
