Cleveland, Cincinnati crime crackdowns yield 10 felony arrests

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A statewide violent crime reduction initiative led to 10 felony arrests and the recovery of eight illegal guns during operations in Cleveland and Cincinnati on Wednesday night, according to state officials.

Gov. Mike DeWine said the operations are aimed at preventing future violence by removing illegal firearms from the streets.

“Every Ohioan has the right to live in a neighborhood where they feel safe and secure,” DeWine said in a statement. “By removing illegal firearms from the hands of violent criminals, law enforcement isn’t just reacting to crime; they are preventing future tragedies.”…
