After four failures, Clarksville leaders finally move forward with city budget

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After rejecting the proposed budget four times, Clarksville leaders are finally moving the budget forward.

While the ongoing budget dispute finally ended, Clarksville leaders said the battle is far from over.

On Monday night, Clarksville City Council members voted on cutting funding to several departments. Some departments, including information technology, had their budget cut by $50,000. Other departments like Clarksville Parks and Recreation have already received significant cuts of more than $400,000 and couldn’t afford another reduction…
