Scooby, a male pup believed to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback, is the first winner of The Tennessean’s new Pet of the Week initiative, which celebrates rescue animals.
There were 11 submissions for the first poll with 4,683 votes cast. Scooby, nominated by Mikaela’s Mutt Motel in Clarksville, raked in 2,269 votes.
