Dickson County Sheriff’s Office captain dies after battle with brain cancer

DICKSON, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office is mourning after losing one of their own to cancer.

The sheriff’s office announced Thursday that Criminal Investigations Division Captain Trevor Daniel died following a nearly four-year battle with glioblastomas, a form of brain cancer.

Cpt. Daniel served with the sheriff’s office since 2000 and had 30 years of police experience.

In his time with DCSO, Daniel served as a patrol deputy, field training officer, detective, SWAT team member, K-9 handler and most recently as captain for the CID and terrorism liaison officer…
