Hillsborough County shelter ‘overflowing with cats’ and ‘desperately’ in need of foster homes

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center is “overflowing” with cats amid an influx of kittens.

As of last week, 390 cats were living in the shelter, which is nearly 700% of its stated capacity, according to a county news release.

“The shelter is working with pet rescue groups and foster parents to help house the overflow but desperately needs residents to come to the Pet Resource Center and adopt any of the dozens of cats and kittens there,” the county said…
