Deadline nears for proposals for major downtown Clearwater redevelopment

CLEARWATER, Fla. — As Pinellas County approaches a Friday deadline for developers interested in redeveloping nearly 25 acres of county-owned property in downtown Clearwater, county leaders said no formal proposals had been submitted as of last week.

During a county budget meeting on September 10, Commissioner Chris Latvala asked County Administrator Barry Burton whether the county was seeing much interest in the properties.
