CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man accused of shooting someone before leading police on a high-speed chase is mentally competent enough to stand trial, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Brian Branch, 24, of Cleveland faces 21 charges including attempted murder, felonious assault, firing a gun in a prohibited place and failure to comply with a police order in connection to the Memorial Day weekend incident.
