Nursing home employee accused of stealing more than $2K from 86-year-old resident

WESTLAKE, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) – An Ohio nursing home employee was arrested for stealing money from an 86-year-old resident.

According to a release from Westlake Police, at around 10 a.m. on July 28, a Bay Village woman called to report fraud and theft involving her blind and elderly sister, who lived at The Inn in Joshua Tree, an assisted living facility in North Olmsted.

While checking bank records, she noticed that someone made five withdrawals from her sister’s account, totaling $2,500.

She told police she did not know who was making these ATM withdrawals and that they all occurred at Citizens Bank in Westlake…
