Euclid Traffic Stop Packs Carload of Guns, Lands Trio in Jail

What started as a routine Saturday traffic stop in Euclid ended with officers pulling five firearms out of a car packed with five male occupants, according to police. The group included three adults under 21 and two juveniles. Officers said one passenger’s movements drew their attention and led them to order everyone in the vehicle to put their hands on the ceiling. Three adults were ultimately taken to the county jail, while the juveniles were charged and released to their guardians.

In a post on the Euclid Police Department Facebook page, officers reported seeing an AR-15 pistol on the rear floorboard as they approached the vehicle. A search turned up four more guns: one in a waistband, another that fell out of a hoodie, a third under the driver’s seat, and a fifth inside a pants pocket. Police said two of the weapons were AR-style pistols. Additional officers were called in to help secure the scene, and detectives are now looking into possible charges and where the firearms came from…
