Ohio is suing a well-known pizza chain for wage theft. It’s part of a wider issue

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A local pizza chain is being sued for allegations it underpaid its employees.

On Monday, the Ohio Department of Commerce filed a lawsuit in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas accusing Antonio’s Pizza and owner Joseph Loschiavo of violating the state’s minimum wage law.

The lawsuit says Antonio’s Pizza, which has 16 locations throughout Northeast Ohio and has been in business since 1967, underpaid 13 employees. Between unpaid hours, unpaid overtime and legal penalties, the commerce department says the pizzeria owes $17,000…
