Motorcycle crash on I-25 causes life-threatening injuries

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on I-25, near the Colorado Springs World Arena, caused life-threatening injuries to the motorcyclist on Saturday, June 7, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

Police reported that about 15 minutes after noon, multiple 911 calls came in reporting the accident on northbound I-25 at mile marker 137.2, near the South Circle Drive exit. When officers arrived, they found that passersby were providing medical assistance to the motorcycle driver, who had been thrown off his motorcycle and down the embankment, just east of I-25. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, according to CSPD. The Major Crash Team took over the investigation. There were significant traffic delays for northbound and southbound I-25 during the investigation. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to CSPD…
