Crafted in small batches with big, bold flavors, the family-owned business prepares all its sauces, dips, and rubs from scratch and can be found in retail stores like Urban Grocers, the Mercantile in Ellicott, and soon on shelves in Scheels.
Owner Jonathan MacInnes joined Loving Living Local hosts Justin Antweil and Krista Witiak to discuss how his culinary delights bring people together.
“There is a lot of trial and error involved, but the good news is, you get to eat your mistakes,” said MacInnes with a smile. “Food brings people together. It’s a universal language. Seeing smiles on people’s faces after they taste our products is why our family started Crazy Pig Barbecue.”
There are nine flavors of sauces. The two newest are the Texas Joy (named after MacInnes’s wife) and Raspberry Chipotle, which Krista tried and loves. There are also a plethora of dry rub and dip flavors…
