COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A suspected hit-and-run driver was arrested Saturday after turning themselves in.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. Saturday at the Courtyards at Newport Heights apartment complex, located near Austin Bluffs and Bridle Pass Drive on the northeast side of the city. Police say the driver hit a pedestrian with their car and then took off, leaving the injured victim behind. The victim is expected to survive.
Based on the investigation, including witness statements, CSPD says the hit-and-run crash was determined to be an assault. The police department did not elaborate further…
