A 62-year-old woman was one of two women who arrived at the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Police Operations Center to report a deceased male and was later accused of killing him. Sheldon “Shelly” Wilson now faces murder and tampering-with-a-body charges.
A Report That Turned Into an Arrest
According to law enforcement officials cited by the Colorado Springs Gazette, Wilson and a second woman arrived Saturday at the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Police Operations Center in downtown Colorado Springs to report a deceased male at a home in the 4000 block of Tappan Drive, near North Academy Boulevard and Palmer Park Road. Officers went to the residence and confirmed the report, finding a deceased male inside. Detectives ultimately arrested Wilson, one of the two women who had made the initial report, on suspicion of murder.
A real estate listing for a property on Tappan Drive identifies it as a multi-family property built in 1970, according to My Springs Living, a listing by Aria Gardner of HomeSmart.
