(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — Sunday brought a slight break in stormy conditions for the Southeastern Plains. After active lightning and thunderstorms last night, temperatures in Colorado Springs are expected to drop to the seasonal averages after multiple days of near-80-degree heat. Chances for showers and thunderstorms near Limon and Burlington increase throughout the day today.
Strong to severe thunderstorm outlook for the Eastern Plains is expected to expand throughout the day as more moisture is introduced into the region. Snow has started falling in some central mountain ski resorts as well but fall-like conditions have only just started for those locations. Expect snow to remain unlikely today in higher elevations…
