(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The District Five VFW Warriors held their end-of-summer poker run on Saturday, Sept. 26, bringing hundreds of motorcyclists together for a ride across Southern Colorado to raise awareness for veteran mental health and suicide prevention.
Motorcycle riders gathered for kickstands up at 11 a.m. in downtown Colorado Springs before riding to VFW Post 6461 in Fountain.
“We actually had a very great turnout. We had independent riders. We had riders from all over the state,” said Christy Vigil, District Five VFW Senior Road Captain.
