(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — Coming off a really nice weekend, we will see similar conditions to start the work week as a ridge of high pressure has settled over the western part of the United States, which will drive up our temperatures and squash out any rain chances.
Today, highs will be in the 80s along the interstate and east towards the plains. To put it into perspective, the average high for this time of year in Colorado Springs is 70 degrees, so that is well above normal and will feel warm. Sky conditions will remain on the drier side, with plenty of sunshine in the sky by the afternoon, so if you have any plans that are outdoors — all should be good to go.
Tonight, temperatures will fall into the 50s along the interstate and a bit cooler in the higher terrain, into the 30s and 40s. Tomorrow brings similar temperatures but more clouds. Dry conditions will continue to prevail in the plains, with the mountains seeing some small isolated showers on Tuesday…
