Northbound I-25 between Colorado Springs and Denver is closed due to a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred around 1:23 p.m. on May 15 in the area of Happy Canyon Road (mile marker 187). This is located in the Castle Pines area, just north of Castle Rock.
According to Colorado State Patrol, the three-vehicle crash involved a white Audi Q5, a blue Toyota Highlander, and a grey Chevrolet Equinox. The 31-year-old male driver of the Equinox, of Aurora, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, the 58-year-old female driver of the Highlander, of Castle Pines, was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Per a 3:53 p.m. press release, Northbound I-25 will be closed for an extended period of time amid the investigation into the crash. Motorists have been advised to find an alternate route. At time of reporting, the cause of the crash remained unknown…
