DORCHESTER, S.C. — A South Carolina school district has become the first in the state to add a new layer of protection for students.
In Dorchester School District 2, installations are underway for bullet-resistant classroom doors. Fifteen of these specialized doors will be installed for special education classrooms. That’s because leaders say those students may need extra time and assistance during a crisis.
