RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — The Columbia-Richland Fire Department battled a fire at a duplex on Hawthorne Avenue on Thursday.
Authorities say firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading further through the property.
Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the building and determined the fire had started in the back of the duplex before spreading into one side of it, according to authorities.
