COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Three people are injured and investigations are underway following two separate shooting incidents in Columbus overnight.
Authorities confirmed the first incident occurred on 13th Avenue, leaving two people injured. Our crew was on the scene around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
A WTVM News Leader 9 crew at the scene observed an active crime scene near Linwood-Tillis Park. Officers taped off a nearby parked car with visible blood on it and several shell casings were found along 22nd Street.
Police also responded to a second shooting in the area of 17th Street and 12th Avenue around 3 a.m. Thursday, when a third victim was injured.
