COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A weak front in the area is sending just enough dry air our way to bring down the mugginess level a touch for the middle of the week. It wont be significant nor will it last as a muggier feel returns later Thursday and especially Friday. Rain chances climb to end the workweek.
Mostly sunny Thursday. Still hot but turning a little less muggy in most places by the afternoon. Highs mostly between 95 and 97 degrees with feels like temperatures in the mid to upper 90s in places like LaGrange and LaFayette, near 100 in Columbus and Phenix City and 102-105 in Eufaula, Cuthbert and Fort Gaines. This *slightly* more tolerable heat will be noticed more in our northern counties and probably for those who work outside.
Rain is unlikely Wednesday other than a very slight chance of a shower or storm. Mugginess starts to increase later Thursday and Friday. This will start to bring back a rain chance.
