Columbus Police Department swears in nearly two dozen new officers

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Twenty-three Columbus Police Officers were sworn in to their new roles Friday morning on the campus of Columbus State University, after completing 16 weeks of rigorous training.

The Columbus Police Department says this class of officers puts the department at 368 employees, 20 positions away from being fully staffed.
