Awards: These NE Ohio restaurants among world’s best for wine

CLEVELAND (WJW) — There’s probably never been a better time to drink wine in the state of Ohio.

Another club shuts down in the Flats

Wine Spectator’s 2026 Restaurant Awards, highlighting the best restaurants for wine lists and service in the world, included 51 spots from our state.

For those among us who enjoy a glass (or two) of wine, here are the restaurants that made the Award of Excellence or Best of Award of Excellence lists from Northeast Ohio:

  • Dean Martin’s Lannings, Akron
  • Galaxy Restaurant, Wadsworth
  • Gatsby’s, Warren
  • Grapes in a Glass, Canton
  • Marble Room Steaks & Raw Bar, Cleveland
  • Pier W, Lakewood
  • Tartine Bistro, Rocky River
  • Corleone’s Ristorante & Bar, Parma
  • Edwin’s Restaurant, Cleveland Heights
  • Lago East Bank, Cleveland
  • Morton’s the Steakhouse, Cleveland
  • Peter Allen Inn, Kinsman
  • Sarita a Restaurant, Lakewood
  • Table 45 at InterContinental Cleveland, Cleveland
  • The River Merchant, Kent

“The restaurant industry is rapidly transforming as diners become more selective about when, how and what they drink,” Wine Spectator CEO Marvin Shanken said in a statement. “As wine drinkers grow more mindful, restaurants are adapting with creative wine programs.”
