COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A man accused in a fatal shooting outside of a north Columbus Kroger pleaded not guilty on Friday.

On June 14, a large-scale fight outside of the grocery store located south of Polaris led to the shooting, according to an incident report. After reviewing video surveillance, police found that several males ran up to the victim, Aboubacar Fofana, and another male, identified as 18-year-old Kroger employee Mohamed Jalloh, or “Mo”, retrieved a gun from a white Lincoln SUV and shot Fofana. Fofana took himself to the hospital where he died.

Jalloh was arrested June 16 on charges of murder, felonious assault, voluntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence. He pleaded not guilty to all four charges at his arraignment Friday, according to the Franklin Court of Common Pleas. See previous coverage in the player above.
