City attorney files court order against Hilltop property housing unauthorized shooting range, illegal gambling machine

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein secured a court order against the owners of a mixed-use building in the city’s Hilltop neighborhood to address multiple violations, including an unauthorized shooting range and illegal gambling machine.

According to a press release, the building, located at 2403-2409 West Broad St., contains residential space on the upper floor and the Noor Food Mart on the first floor.

An investigation by the Columbus Division of Police, Building and Zoning Services and Code Enforcement found violations including blocked exits, electrical hazards, unauthorized residential occupancy, open wiring in residential common areas and combustible materials stored in the basement…
