CLEVELAND, Ohio — Buc-ee’s opened its first Ohio travel center April 6. Two Ohio convenience-store businesses are now defending names and mascots they were using before the Texas chain arrived.
One is Beaver’s Mini Mart, a single store in Beavercreek. The other is Coles IP Holdings, the Milan-based company behind 42 Mickey’s convenience stores across northern Ohio. Coles says its family-owned business has operated in Ohio since the early 1980s, according to its federal court filing.
