Gov. DeWine sends additional resources to counties affected by flooding

OHIO — Gov. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, sent additional state assets to three counties late Sunday after severe weather ravaged parts of the state.

DeWine said he has sent officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio National Guard to help assist local first responders in Perry, Muskingum and Morgan counties. All three have been heavily affected by flooding in recent days.

“Ohio has been in the heart of the summer storm systems that have crossed the Midwest since early last week,” said DeWine. “Communities in Perry, Muskingum, and Morgan counties have unfortunately been affected again by this latest round of storms, and we are sending additional state help to local first responders.”…
