Body found in Ohio River identified as Columbus man

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Authorities said a body recovered on Monday in the Ohio River has been identified as a Columbus man.

Lewis County Sheriff Johnny Bivens said a body recovered in northeast Kentucky on May 4 has been identified as Jason D. Frisbie, a 38-year-old from Columbus. Bivens said authorities in Kentucky worked with Ohio officials to identify Frisbie this week.

Bivens said Lewis County received a call of a body in the river in Vanceburg, Kentucky a few miles south of Shawnee State Park in Ohio, around 4:30 p.m. Monday. Bivens said responding agencies transferred the body to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office…
