Operation Unity leads to arrests, citations in north Franklin County enforcement effort

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and several law enforcement agencies conducted a large-scale enforcement operation Tuesday targeting thefts and drug-related crimes in Blendon, Clinton, Perry and Sharon townships.

The effort, called Operation Unity, resulted in 218 traffic stops and 129 traffic citations, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies also issued 21 distracted driving citations and 15 seat belt citations during the operation.

Authorities said the operation also led to two felony arrests, including one involving a warrant, and 19 misdemeanor arrests. Deputies recovered one stolen vehicle and arrested a suspect connected to a theft in progress…
