Wrongful death suit probes trucker’s record, possible shared blame on I-71 exit traffic

The relatives of the family of three killed on I-71 North now say the tragedy could have been avoided, and the trucker who caused the crash may not be the only one to blame. The wrongful death lawsuit alleges Luke Soposki, his wife Lynnea and the couple’s one-year-old son Logan’s deaths in a fiery chain-reaction crash on Interstate 71 in Delaware County could have been avoided.

The Soposkis were trying to take exit 131 to go home and became stuck on the highway on April 11th. A line of roughly 20 cars was stopped on the right lane, as they were attempting to merge off of I-71 at the Tanger Outlet exit.

That’s when a semi-truck slammed into the back of their car, killing all three. Attorneys Jon Bond and Sean Alto of the Law Firm for Truck Safety said seeing video of the crash for the first time was “horrific” and “shocking.”…
