Police in the Pomona Valley are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left one person dead, officials announced.
The July 15 incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Monte Vista Avenue and Moreno Street in Montclair, according to a news release from the Montclair Police Department.
Details are limited, and it is unclear what caused the crash. Footage posted to Citizen showed the intersection completely shut down as investigators walked the scene.
Evidence markers were seen around four vehicles, at least three of which appeared to have heavy damage.

Authorities did not provide information on additional injuries, nor did they say whether the person who died was pronounced dead at the scene or at a hospital.
