Cedar’s Tacos Plans Orange County Restaurant

Cedar’s Tacos is planning an Orange County restaurant, according to the company’s website. The Southern California taco concept currently operates a pop-up stand in Bell and states that a permanent restaurant location is “coming soon to OC.” The company has not yet announced a street address or opening date for the Orange County location.

Cedar’s Tacos was founded by Mohamad Nabir Farhat, who started the halal Mexican food concept as a food stand in front of his family’s meat market in Bell. Farhat developed the concept while studying biology at UCLA, drawing from the Mexican and Arab communities around South Los Angeles. Cedar’s combines Mexican-style tacos with halal ingredients.

The company’s website says it uses 100% Zabiha grass-fed beef and fresh ingredients. Its current menu includes tacos, quesatacos and mulitas, along with larger dishes such as burritos, quesadillas, nachos and asada fries.
